Recycle Your Cell Phone at the Expo; Receive a Free Bluetooth Headset!

Sony Ericsson will be handing out a free Bluetooth headset to everyone who brings an unwanted cell phone to be recycled on race weekend. Collection bins will be located at the Sony Ericsson booth inside the McKimmon Center at the visitRaleigh.com Health & Fitness Expo.

To receive the free headset, drop off any used cell phone, charger or phone battery from any manufacturer during expo hours:

• Friday, October 30 — 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday, October 31 — 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sony Ericsson will donate the net proceeds generated from the recycling of collected devices to the beneficiaries of the event.

Boost Your Recovery: "A Touch Above" Offers Post-Race Massages

A Touch Above Massage therapists will be on site on race day to help you recover after your race. Massage cost is $1 per minute.

A Touch Above will donate a portion of its proceeds to the beneficiaries of the event.

Race Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are still needed to help make the City of Oaks race event a success.

Friends and family members can be a part of your race by volunteering with:

• Course monitoring on race day
  Help needed!!
  Shifts from 1 to 6 hours are available beginning at 6:30 a.m. on the morning of Nov. 1
• Finish area
  Two shifts are available on race day, Nov. 1:
  7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
  10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
• Parking control
  Two shifts are available on race day, Nov. 1:
  5:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.
  8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
• Packet pickup at the race expo
  Two shifts on Friday, Oct. 30:
  1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  Two shifts on Saturday, Oct. 31:
  9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  2:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
• Baggage check
  Two shifts are available on Nov. 1:
  5:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
  10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Volunteering is another way to help us support our beneficiaries: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Rex Healthcare Foundation, and the Wounded Warrior Project.

Plus, all volunteers receive an official volunteer t-shirt, refreshments, and discount coupons redeemable at presenting sponsor Raleigh Running Outfitters.
