2011 Raleigh City of Oaks Marathon medalThe Raleigh City of Oaks Marathon and Rex Healthcare Half Marathon returns for the fifth year to Raleigh, North Carolina, drawing thousands of athletes to the capital city. Add this runner’s favorite to your fall racing schedule! The course is revered for the diversity of the landscape, showcasing the Triangle’s natural areas and the capital’s rich, Southern history. The race committee is proud to announce the addition of three new events for 2011.

  • The Old Reliable 10K Run logoThe News & Observer Old Reliable 10K – The 27-year-old Old Reliable 10K race is now a Raleigh City of Oaks Marathon event featuring a new start and finish at the NC State Bell Tower.
  • Four-person Marathon Relay – allows you to race the marathon as a team, completing one of four legs of distances ranging from 5 miles to 9.4 miles. More info»
  • YMCA Kids' Marathon Mile – Children ages 7 – 14 complete a mile on race day. Children can choose from 3 options: run either 25.2 miles or 12.1 miles, under adult supervision, prior to race day and receive a marathon or half marathon finisher medal. The third option is to simply complete the mile run and receive a finisher medal.
